If you have been in a motor vehicle accident you should be eligible for full Chiropractic Coverage. Under the new ICBC and BC Chiropractic Association agreement patients will have the choice whether to have full Chiropractic coverage or to pay a co-pay. Your options will be explained to you at the office or on the phone. The Chiropractor is the most qualified practitioner to evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident and you do not have to be referred to a Chiropractor. At Discovery Chiropractic we feel that everyone should be evaluated by a Chiropractor after they have been in a motor vehicle accident even if there was no pain suffered from the accident. Often times a week or even months after an accident people will report to our office complaining of spinal problems related to their accident.
If you have been injured on the job you are eligible for Chiropractic care under The Workers Compensation Board. The Chiropractor is considered a primary health care provider and will be able to evaluate your injuries and determine the proper course of care. You do not have to be referred for Chiropractic care but you should report you injury to your employer prior to or shortly after you consult our office. Our office staff will guide you in the paper work that needs to be filled out.
